Detox and Cleanse Your Body
By detoxifying, you give yourself the opportunity to obtain optimal health. We live in a toxic world, where the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat all have substances in them that are not healthy for the human body. The detoxification process cleans your liver, intestines and all of your cells so that you can better handle what the outside world has to offer.
What this process of cleansing does is clear up your health picture. When your body is clean, you can see if it is foods or something deeper that is causing your symptoms. In other words, by cleansing, you clear the obstacles to health.
What is the Detoxification Process?
The process lasts for three weeks where you eat a hypoallergenic diet, take a medicinal food, fiber, a detoxifying tea, and some of the best acidophilus and bifidus (probiotics) available.
The four-fold detoxification process is aimed at:
- decreasing toxin exposure
- optimizing functions of elimination
- enhancing mobilization of toxins from cells, fats, and extra cellular matrix to get the toxins back into the blood stream so they can then be excreted
- enhancing the metabolism of toxins.
After the three weeks are over, you then slowly add back in the foods you removed. By adding foods back into your diet one at a time in a specific manor, not only will you have detoxified your system, you will also figure out what foods you are sensitive to.
In summary, this program has two purposes:

Patients can work with Dr. Back individually (one session) or take classes to go through the detoxification process. The class offers group support, weekly meetings, as well as individual time with Dr. Back.
